The Warner Grand Theater

This theater is proof that sometimes it pays off to walk around a scene more than once. On my first day in Milwaukee I made a ton of photos of this theater on my way down to the lake. I came home a different way. Later in the day I walked by here with my family from the opposite direction and noticed this building sized mural that made me do a double take. It takes you a second while coming down the road to realize that the side of the building is painted on and not real. I had what I thought was a couple of cool photos of this theater, but I liked this one and the story a little better.

Milwaukee Theater Week

A couple of weeks ago I had a theater week on the blog. It was a theme that just looked at some cool theaters that I had seen while traveling. While walking around downtown Milwaukee I kept running into theaters that I liked. Once I got to the third or fourth theater I realized that I had a theme week brewing. I love these old theaters in big cities. Milwaukee has enough to fill a couple weeks worth of posts.
