Louie’s Cafe

Grabbing Breakfast At Louie’s

As a kid grabbing breakfast at Louie’s was awesome. It was a cool place with all kinds of LaPorte Slicer memorabilia in it. As a kid I looked at all of the old football photos and wondered what it would be like to play for the Slicers. Sometimes I was even able to go to the Friday morning breakfasts that my dad had with the other front office guys from work. Louie’s is now closed, but the back of the restaurant still had the signage up a couple of years ago. This place is full of great memories, and is what this list is all about.

50 For 50

This is going to be a crazy theme. For the next fifty days I plan on posting a photo of a place that has some meaning to me. Last August I came up with a theme for a week showing some Purdue memories. At the end of this fifty days I will turn fifty. I thought that it would be fun to take a look back at some places that bring back memories for me. This can’t be an all inclusive list, but one that I hope will be fun for you as well as me. I have written these out of order a bit. This is the last that I have written. This was never meant to be an all inclusive list of the best things that have ever happened to me. I think that this photo kind of shows what I had in mind. Small little photos that might never have made the blog unless in something like this. This has been a fun 50 days looking back at places that have shaped me in some way.
