The Former Temple News Agency
Temple News Agency was such a cool place back in the day. Earlier in this countdown I talked about spending a lot of time at City Hall. Just around the corner was temple news agency. They had all kinds of papers and magazines back in the day. I remember picking up my Baseball Digest and Sporting News here. Back then that was how I kept up with batting averages and news from around the country. This was were I got my baseball news. They were also hit and miss, but occasionally had baseball cards. As a kid that was always my measuring stick for a store. If they had cards they were awesome. It is now an antique store, but a newspaper stand was never going to make it now. They sold coffee too, but that must not have been enough to save it. That is too bad.
50 For 50
This is going to be a crazy theme. For the next fifty days I plan on posting a photo of a place that has some meaning to me. Last August I came up with a theme for a week showing some Purdue memories. At the end of this fifty days I will turn fifty. I thought that it would be fun to take a look back at some places that bring back memories for me. This can’t be an all inclusive list, but one that I hope will be fun for you as well as me.
