The Old Brown House
This was the house where I spent a lot of my life. There are many reasons why this photo makes this list. The first is that this was my first published photo. It made a calendar for an investment firm in South Bend. Looking at it now it was not the best photo, but it was my first published photo. The second reason is that I made this photo with my old Sony Mavica camera. That old camera was my first digital camera and the reason why I started wearing cargo pants. I could only get about 17 photos on a floppy disk so I needed to carry a few with me. I would have the unused floppies in my right cargo pocket and the full floppies in the left cargo pocket. I am so glad that SD cards can hold about 2,000 RAW files. I would need a backpack with how many floppies I would need now. The final reason that this makes the countdown is how much my father loved this photo. He still kept the Calendar that this was in on January so that this was in his office.
50 For 50
This is going to be a crazy theme. For the next fifty days I plan on posting a photo of a place that has some meaning to me. Last August I came up with a theme for a week showing some Purdue memories. At the end of this fifty days I will turn fifty. I thought that it would be fun to take a look back at some places that bring back memories for me. This can’t be an all inclusive list, but one that I hope will be fun for you as well as me.

That’s a good theme! It will keep the fire burning to post photographs and keep on taking photographs. Looking forward to greeting you on your 50th!
