Finally Finishing A Project
This photo was a long time coming. Last November I photographed the installation of this new art in Lafayette. Shortly after it went up the blankets went on the ground so I assumed the concrete was quick to follow. Even during this last softball season when I went by the area was still not poured. I kind of wrote this project off. Then I saw one day that they had the dedication for the art so I went down to check it out one morning while out and about watching Zach Curtis paint his Amelia Earhart mural. It looked great, and the song was right where I wanted it to be to make a photo. I am sure that over the years I will make a few more photos of this in different conditions. It was nice to finally see it completed though.
Too Many Posts
I am writing this a little ahead of time, but if my math is correct this is the 7,000th post on this blog. Who knew that when I started this little blog it was just a way to document my photo 365 journey. As that journey was ending I realized that I wanted to keep writing every day. A couple of years ago I decided to keep challenging myself and to post two photos and posts a day. That would keep me out there making photos. Here we are 7,ooo posts into this journey. I don’t know how far it will go, but it has been a fun ride so far.
Watching Art Being Installed
I really had too much fun watching this piece being installed in November. I always like to document process, and this was definitely that. I kind of just stayed back and tried to find angles of what was going on. Below are a few bonus photos from the process of installing the huge piece of art.

👌🏻That’s a great little series there, I love the behind the scenes shots and the final image was worth definitely worth waiting for. Congrats on the 7000 posts!! I look forward to many more…
