The Kirklin American Legion

This is the kind of building that I want to see in my American Legion hunt. It is a pretty plain building that does its job very well. I love the no frills nature of most of them. It is more about what is on the inside and what they do for the community. I never went inside of this building, but I think I already know the smell inside of it. I don’t say that in a bad way. It has that look of a building I would have walked in during my childhood.

American Legion Week(s)

For the last few years I have used the fourth of July week to post some American Legion buildings. This year we celebrate then 250th anniversary of America so I figured that we would extend this theme for a couple of weeks. Whenever I visit a new town I make sure to find the legion. That means that I have a few in the bank so this is also a good way to show off a few more American Legions in the towns that I have visited.
