The Last Light Of The Day Hits The Barns

I made this photo close to where I made the photo from yesterday’s post. The last light of the day was hitting these two barns and this tree. I wanted to get home, and I had a long way to go but one photo wouldn’t hurt. I love old barns like these. When they were built I am sure that nobody was thinking about how they would look in photos years later. They were built with utility in mind. To me though they are the perfect subject.

Barn Week

A couple of weeks ago we drove by an empty lot where a very cool barn once stood. Early on in the life of this blog I made a photo of that barn. When I pulled up to it I had the thought that I would wait for a better day. I made the photo anyway as a reminder to come back. I came back the next week at sunset and the barn had been torn down. From that day on I have made the photo of a barn that I think is interesting. This week is all about those barns for my theme.
