Fireworks In The Cul-de-sac

Having Some Fun With Our Fireworks Show

For the last couple of years I have skipped the big fireworks shows for our smaller show at home. This year I put my Pocket Wizards to use so I wouldn’t always have to be by my camera. It helped me make photos as things were going on without thinking too much about it. The photo above is one of my favorites.

A Little Fun

This is a fun photo that I kind of stumbled into. I was firing off some roman candles and I had the idea to fire one off from in front of my lens. It might not work, but if it did it could be really awesome. I had the idea that it could look like a rocket taking off. I was right. It was one of my favorite photos of the night.

A Few Bonus Photos

Below are a few bonus photos from the night. While photographing I was going over a lot of my rules in my head. You can see a lot of those in my fireworks post here. That post is nearly ten years old, but the tips are still good. Next year I may update it with a couple of new tricks.
