The Kurt Vonnegut Mural On Mass Ave

This mural was one that really stuck out to me while walking on Mass Ave a couple of weeks ago. It was a larger than life Kurt Vonnegut staring down at me from a parking lot. Kurt is a famous author, but of course being a comedy fan I was first introduced to him in the movie Back To School when Rodney Dangerfield has to write a paper on the books of Kurt, but has never read them. Kurt shows up and writes the paper for him. Of course the teacher gives Rodney a ‘C’ saying that he didn’t know a thing about Kurt. It was a fun bit of comedy and an interesting intro to the great author.

Random Mural Week

This week the theme in the afternoons will be murals that I have seen on the road. When I see a bunch in  certain town it is easy to make them into a theme. These random murals though are harder to put together in a post. This week I decided to grab five of those random murals and finally give them their time on the blog.
