The Stained Glass Of Edna Browning Ruby

Finding A Local Artist

While making photos of the Wabash Walls project I found a local artist. One of the walls was an homage to Edna Browning Ruby. Ruby was a famous stained glass artist that lived in the Jefferson neighborhood area where the mural was made. Over a hundred years ago she was designing stained glass windows like the one above that would last the test of time. It was kind of neat to be sitting in the church looking up at these windows thinking of what it must have taken to design and make them.

Inside The Trinity United Methodist Church

For years I have walked or driven by the big doors that lead into this church and wondered what it looked like inside. Last night I finally was able to see inside of the oldest church in town. These windows were a focal point of my time in the church, but the entire church is amazing. They really don’t make them like this anymore.
