Meeting A Local Author

This afternoon I went down to Second Flight Books to grab the new book by local author Jonathon Janz. Last year I found his books, and I started reading again. I grew up reading Stephen King, and Jonathon has the same vibe as King for me. The books are a quick read because once you are hooked you don’t want to put it down. I have known the author for a couple of years now, and it was really cool to see him in his element with his fans. It really is amazing what the people around you are doing. Jonathon has really started to make a name for himself in the book world.

The New One

The new book at the store is called Children Of The Dark 2. I read the first one at the beginning of the year, and it is one of his best. If you are from the greater Lafayette area a lot of the references will be very familiar to you. The sequel just came out yesterday, but I can only imagine that it is just as good as the first one. If you like the show Stranger Things you will probably like these books. They have a very similar feel to them, and you know how much our childhoods informed us by the way that these two projects were being made at the same time. If you have some time to sit and read a book give the original Children Of The Dark a try.
