A Quick Stop In Chalmers

Making A Quick Photo Stop In Chalmers, Indiana

Last week while in Chalmers to take in a softball game I made this quick photo stop as I was heading home. Our game ended early and that was a good thing as the storms started to roll in. The sky was amazing so I wanted to make a few photos of it. I found this old garage in town that would provide a great contrast to the sky above. I didn’t have much time to come up with a photo as we had to race the bus back to West Lafayette to pick the kids up. I quickly found this composition which I really liked. I love these old buildings in the smaller towns. They have seen so much over the years. It is fun to document them today, and will be fun to revisit down the road to see just how much things have changed.

Seeing New Towns Through Softball

Over the course of the last two years I have gotten to see some towns that I had only driven by in the past because of softball. Last year it was my little one that traveled to some little towns. This year so far it has been my oldest that has had a couple of road trips so far. This was an especially fun trip as my oldest started her first varsity game and the team won. It was a really fun day that I didn’t want to end. This photo was a way to prolong things a little bit.
