Lighting The Lafayette Christmas Tree

Last night I went down to the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Lafayette. In the next month or so this tree will give me a couple of opportunities to make photos of it. I thought that it would be neat to see it lit for the first time. To me this kind of kicks off the Christmas season in Lafayette. Part of the fun of making a photo here is balancing the light. I think I have a composition in mind this year so I am sure that I will be down there soon to make my photo.

It Won’t Be Long

Next week we will be in almost this exact same spot at the same time during the Lafayette Christmas Parade. Last year we had a blast walking the route, and hopefully we learned enough about candy management to have candy left when we finish the parade route. Time is flying, and before you know it Santa will be busy delivering toys instead of lighting trees.
