Watching The Local Fireworks
Last night my daughter and I went to the top of a parking garage for a little 4th of July preview. It is always fun to watch the local neighborhood fireworks that go off around the 4th. Here in one 20 second exposure you can see a little preview of what we had our eyes in as the skies started to darken. We could hear the symphony practicing for today so we basically had a smaller version of the big 4th of July fireworks show.
Making Your Own Fireworks Photos
A few years ago I wrote a post with some tips to make better firework photos. You can find that here. Part of the fun of making firework photos is finding what works and getting creative with it. Here I knew that a longer exposure would allow for more fun in the sky, and it would help expose the church in the foreground. Tonight I will probably have completely different settings, but the same amount of fun.
