A Little Splash Of Color Comes To The Celery Bog
Over the course of the winter we start to get used to the fact that there is no color to be found. When spring arrives and the color starts coming back it is an amazing thing for a photographer. Just when the trees start to come back the migrating birds do as well. After a long winter I love this time of year for the way that it lets me get out and make some colorful photos. A bird like the yellow warbler really sticks out as it flies through the bog. You just have to hope that it lands near you. Here I was lucky enough that it landed near me and that it found a little snack for itself.
More Photos Of The Yellow Warbler
Here are a few bonus photos from the same day of this bird. I went out the next morning as well, but of course the bird never came too close to me. I mad all of the photos of this bird in one encounter within a few minutes of each other. Actually I made the first three within a minute of each other. When a bird like this shows up you have to take advantage of it. This is still early in the season so hopefully there are many more encounters ahead.
What a beauty, Dave! Although the color doesn’t stand out as much as in the other photos, I like the framing and delicate beauty of the last shot…and I like all the other ones, too. 🙂
