A Close Look At The Hairy Woodpecker

This was a great close up look at the hairy woodpecker. When I walk around the Celery Bog I see a lot of downy woodpeckers. The downy though is one that I do not see very often in a spot where I can make a photo of it. I was not there to see this bird on this day, but it came close enough that I had to make a photo of it.

A Crazy Birding Year

This year at the bog I have probably seen far fewer birds than in previous years. The birds that I have found though have been birds that I have not made good photos of for the most part. This hairy woodpecker is one of those birds.
