Waiting On An Eagle

I have spent a lot of time in a similar spot to this one waiting for an eagle to take flight. When the snow is flying like this it makes in flight photos harder, but when you make a good one it is worth it. This eagle never did take off though, but it did look in the right direction to make some interesting photos. Before this winter is over I would love to make some in flight photos of these eagles in the snow.

Waiting For Snow

When I made this photo it was our first snow of the year. We were watching it from the back window and hoping that it would stick. Looking at the radar I knew that it would not last for long so we hopped in the car to make a couple of quick photos before the snow turned back to rain. I am glad that I did. Shortly after making this photo the snow did turn back to rain.
