A Cedar Waxwing Stops And Poses For Me At The Celery Bog
Over the last couple of years I have tried many times to get a cedar waxwing to stop and pose for me. They usually don’t sit still for long enough though. Yesterday on my walk this one waxwing posed for me long enough to change my position twice. At first I had a bad angle so I moved over a few feet. I made some photos quickly expecting it to move. It did not so I moved over a bit once again to get rid of a stray stick in the background. It was a cool couple of minutes that allowed me to make this photo.
Patience Pays Off
I spent the majority of my morning seeing nothing out at the bog. A hawk followed me around and that is never a good thing when you want to see smaller birds. The last bit of my walk though really was great and made staying completely worth it.
Gorgeous photo!
Love that tufted head. 😊
