The Great Blue Heron Really Puts On A Show

When I first made this photo I thought that it looked like the great blue heron was sliding into a base. I have been covering too much baseball and softball though. As I look at the photo now I realize that this heron was actually dancing at the Celery Bog. I didn’t realize that I was in for such a show the other day, but I was lucky that I was there to see it.

Dancing My Way Into The Weekend

This should be a great weekend. There is softball to cover and the migration has really started to kick in here in West Lafayette. Plenty of chances to get out there and make some photos. This is a fun time of year to make photos for sure, and two of my favorite things to photograph are happening right now.
