Making A New Friend

Friday night at the Celery Bog I was down on the point sitting on a log watching the birds fly by. I was also watching a male muskrat chasing a female all over the place. She disappeared and he gave up. A little later she popped up right next to me to have dinner. She was actually so close that I had to slowly scoot over so that the muskrat was in my focus range. It was a pretty cool way to start my night off.

I feel that I have been posting a lot of ring-necked duck photos. Rarely do the females appear on the blog. Here is the female enjoying the sun.
