Eagles Looking For Dinner

Yesterday I went out looking to see if I could find an eagle. I went to a familiar spot and immediately saw an immature eagle sitting in a tree. Looking at the pond below the eagle I knew that I wouldn’t get any fishing photos on the day as a thin layer of ice covered it. I would have to settle for a couple of photos of the eagle in a tree. The eagle gave me a couple of looks, but nothing too close. This will be a long winter though and hopefully the eagle photos will come.

A Good Day

I went out hoping to make some photos of an eagle, owl, or hawk. I came home with all three. I don’t know that I could have ever said that before. I saw what I think was this same eagle in two different places. I was finally able to see the screech owl again. About 50 yards from the screech owl hole I saw a hawk just sitting against a nice blue sky. I don’t have a lot of time to make these kinds of photos anymore so it is nice when everything works out like it did yesterday.
