The Nashville Warbler Pays A Visit To The Celery Bog
Thursday night at the Celery Bog I made a few photos of the migratory birds, but I really was hyper focused on the screech owl that was yesterday’s post. I hate to say it, but the only reason that I made this image of a Nashville Warbler was because it was behind my car. When the birds make themselves super easy to make a photo of them you really have to do it.
Warbler Season?
It was a couple of years ago when I bumped into Dan Miller at the Celery Bog who told me he was photographing warblers. I nodded like I knew what he was talking about and walked out of his view and then looked them up. This is a great time of year when birds of all kinds of colors are coming through our area on their way south for the winter. Soon the woods will have no color at all in it. I really need to make more time than I have to get out and make warbler photos. This is a weird time though to make them. I am busier than I ever have been in the mornings when the light is good. At night it becomes a moving pack of photographers making the same photo. That is not how I like to make photos. I may have to set some of that aside though to make some warbler photos before they are down south basking on the beach for the winter.
