31 Ballparks Of May: #1 Guaranteed Rate Field

Let’s Head To The Park

With no baseball on the horizon I thought that it would be fun to visit a park a day for the month of May. It would be a great way for me to relive some great baseball memories, and it would also be a fun project to keep me busy. During this uncertain time it is always good to have a project or two in front of you.

Through The Years

At first this ballpark did not really endear itself to me. I loved the old park. It was the first stadium that I ever visited. It had such character. They replaced the old park with a bright blue thing. I was not impressed. I was even less impressed when Camden Yards opened up. Of course they have done a lot of work to the stadium, and it looks pretty good now.

What To Expect This Month

Looking at a different ballpark every day is bound to send me down memory lane. Right now I have a map laid out with some ballparks penciled in on key dates. I think that some days were going to be special so they should stay that way. It will be interesting to see if this little project helps sooth the fact that we don’t have baseball or makes it worse. I will let you know at the end of the month. For now we can travel to a new park every day. Since it is virtual we don’t even have to worry about traffic.
