NCAA Women’s Basketball: Purdue vs. Kent State

Purdue Takes On Kent State

Sunday I was back at Purdue making photos of the Purdue women’s team taking on Kent State. It was a busy week with a lot of great sports to photograph on campus. I can’t remember a week where I have had more fun. This was a fun win, and a great way to cap off the week.

Karissa Does It All

Karissa McLaughlin had a game on Sunday. She scored 34 points including all of the key free throws at the end of the game to secure the win. It was an impressive performance that you don’t see that often. The shots kept falling though.

Coach V Gets #400

With the win Coach Versyp earned her 400th as a head coach. You could tell how much it meant to the players as well by the way that they celebrated with her after the game. It was a cool thing to be a very small part of.

Gear Talk

This time of year the gear talk starts to go away on the blog because I am using the same stuff over and over. Almost all of my basketball so far this year has been photographed with two A9’s, a 24-70 f/2.8, and my 70-200 f/2.8. I don’t talk about the switch to Sony much anymore because it has just become the tools that I use. They are very capable tools that help me make the photos that I need to make.

Halftime For The Dogs

I don’t often photograph the entire halftime show. When it is as good as the show was on Sunday though I do. It was pretty cool watching these athletic dogs do their thing.

The Week In Photos

As I said above last week was a fun one for sports photos. I had a lot of fun making images. Looking ahead at the schedule I don’t have any sports this week. You always pay the price for having a good week it seems like. This was a fun week in photos to put together though. You can see my favorite photos from last week here.
