NCAA Volleyball Tournament: Marquette vs. Purdue

Marquette Plays Valiantly At Purdue

Marquette really came out firing during their matchup against Purdue. The stormed out of the gate and took set one. They looked like they would be in a great position to take set two as well. It was not meant to be in the end, but I had a lot of fun following this team for a couple of days. They played hard and with a lot of emotion. You can’t ask for more as a photographer.

Playing In A Hostile Environment

Holloway seemed extra loud Saturday night. I don’t know if we have got the decibel reader out, but it was going pretty strong Saturday. That cannot be easy to play in. I love the photo above because it shows the fans really trying to rattle the Marquette player. It did not work on this occasion though.

One Last Volleyball Match

My match for Marquette Saturday night was most likely my last of the season. This has been a super fun volleyball season, and I really was not ready for it to end. For Purdue the season is not over. They travel to Baylor for a very tough Sweet 16 matchup. Playing the #1 seed in the tournament will not be easy. When your goal is to win it all though there is no better opponent to beat. It would be nice to dust off the cameras for a weekend in Pittsburgh for the Final Four.

The National Anthem

This is a photo that can be very hit or miss. With the NCAA banners in the background I thought that it was worth a try. I really like how it turned out.

The Week In Photos

I know I say this every week, but last week was amazing! I guess that I am lucky to do what I do for a living. Thinking back to the Bucket game last Saturday, to the drubbing of the #5 team in the nation on Wednesday, to the great volleyball on Friday and Saturday, and then basketball on Sunday. It was a fun sports week. In that time I also had three recitals to attend as well. It was a busy, but fun week for sure. You can see my favorite photos from last week here.
