Waiting For Mackey Arena To Fill Up Once Again
There is a weird thing that happens this time of year. Baseball for me is over, and football is such a short season that I am already counting down there too. The next season that seems to always come up so fast is basketball. Basketball was a sport that I never really cared too much to photograph. I had fun doing it at times, but for the most part I always felt trapped on the baseline. Last year though I had more fun than I have ever had before photographing the sport. I found ways to make images that I wanted to make throughout the season. I am really excited to be back in Mackey Arena again this year.
Making The Most Of My Time
While waiting for what I had hoped would be a great fireworks show over Mackey I saw the clouds moving fast and slowed things down to make this image. I don’t get out to make images like this often so when I do get out I like to make the most of my time. The fireworks did not turn out the way that I thought they would, but I did make an image that I liked. You can see that post here.
Come Walk With Me
This year I am once again leading the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk on the campus of Purdue University. This is a very relaxed walk that will be more about the fun of making photos rather than making the best photo. All skill levels and ages welcome.
