Taking A Blue Hour Walk At The Union
Thursday night I went down to the Purdue Memorial Union to make a sunset photo at the new archway. Of course a shelf cloud moved in and blocked the sun nearly at sunset. It was slow moving though so it let me make a couple of pictures before taking over the sky. With some careful positioning I could pretend it wasn’t there at all. I didn’t end up with the shot that I wanted when I went out, but I did end up with this photo in its place.
Campus With Nobody Around
It is kind of weird to walk around campus with barely anyone around. When school is in session you have people everywhere. In the summer the people that I encountered were few and far between. It is great for stock shots of buildings and monuments, but you also don’t have the choice to put anyone in the frame. We used to take advantage of this break in the action to visit a few of our favorite places on campus. With all of the rebuilding though those places are now gone.
