The Paint Crew And Mackey Arena Will The Boilermakers To A Big Ten Win
At one point in the second half of the basketball game Sunday Minnesota was pulling away from Purdue. The Mackey Arena crowd did not relent, and they used their voices to help their Boilermakers. When the Mackey Arena crowd is rocking it is hard to beat the team on the court. A couple of buckets fell for the Boilermakers, and the crowd got even louder. It was then that Purdue put the run together that put them into the lead. These games are why I do what I do. I love being a part of that atmosphere.
Purdue Moves Into First Place In The Big Ten
With the win on Sunday the Boilermakers moved into first place in the Big Ten Conference with Michigan and Michigan State. This was a rebuilding year right? The team lost four starters and many did not give the Boilers a chance. There is still a long way to go this season, but this is a great place to be. This team plays so hard that it is hard for the others to match. Looking at the schedule I realize that I only have three more chances to photograph these Boilers at home. You can bet that I will be there for those games.

Part of the fun of this season has been seeing the respect the opposing teams have been showing for Tyler Trent. They have come into Mackey Arena with special shooting shirts honoring the brave young man.
The Eifert Effort
If you want to show your kid how to hustle you don’t have to look hard to find a good example. Just watch a Purdue basketball game and look for #24. He is all over the place making hustle plays. Those don’t always translate very well photographically. This one did though. I need to get more Eifert effort plays as this season winds down.
The Week In Photos
Last week was bitter cold in the middle followed by late spring conditions by Sunday. I did not get out at all in the middle, but I made up for it in the end. Here are my favorite photos from last week.
