Back At Lambert Covering Purdue Track and Field
Friday afternoon I was back in Lambert Fieldhouse covering Purdue track and field. It was a light day with just the multi-event athletes competing, but it still was a chance to make some interesting pictures. I actually liked the laid back atmosphere that allowed me to think ahead and plan some shots. At a normal meet you end up just scrambling to cover everything. You have to take what you can get sometimes just to get a shot. I liked being able to plan out a few shots. Tomorrow I will show some of my favorite photos from day two of the Fred Wilt Open.
My Track And Field Kit
For indoor track and field it is pretty simple choosing my gear. It has to be the fastest stuff that I have. My 1DX and my 5D4 were the two cameras that are with me all of the time. On those lenses are my 400 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8, and 24-70 f/2.8. Those allow me to capture the action without having too much blur.
