A White Throated Sparrow At The Celery Bog
When a bird is ready for their close up they are ready. This sparrow was more than patient with me as I made its picture earlier in the fall. It sat there until I was done with what I was doing, and then it went about its way. It even gave me a couple of different poses although I liked the first one the best. It probably was really interested in that huge eye that was looking at it.
Finding A New Bird
Part of the fun of having no idea what you are doing when it comes to birds is stumbling across something new. At some level I can’t tell many of them apart. I have an app called Merlin that will tell me based on a photo so I can sound like I know what I am talking about, but I really don’t have any idea what I am talking about. That has changed to some degree over the course of the fall, but I am still fairly clueless.
Many great pics but I really like the “Wallenda” bird. (The bluebird on the wire)
