The Stars Of Purdue Football

When Luck Meets More Luck

Last week I was scrambling for a location to photograph the International Space Station pass on the campus of Purdue. With all of the roads closed I settled on Ross Ade Stadium. It turned out to be a stroke of luck as it made for a cool photo. As I was putting my photos together from the pass which only lasted a couple of minutes I realized that this would be a good spot for a star trail photo. Of course after realizing that I couldn’t buy a clear night. Well last night was finally a clear night with a new moon to make things even better. Sometimes things just work out for the best.

My Landscapes

I always wait to try and make photos like this one for when I am at a cool landscape. Well I live in Indiana. We don’t have mountains or terrain that I always seem to be waiting for. These stadiums in town and the other landmarks are my mountains. I need to get out and make pictures of what is around me. Lately I have bought a couple of new toys that have helped spark that interest in getting out to photograph even familiar places. This is one that I have photographed a few ways, but last night I added a couple of more ways. I wish that I had thought of this sooner, but I would have messed it up even more if I had tried it a few years ago.
