Birds In The Spring?

I photographed this bird in mid May as it was hanging out in our tree after a rain. Normally all of the backyard bird posts on this site come from the winter when I am a little more bored. This one came from the fact that I was inspired by another photographer. I was actually in position to make this photo because of another bird, but the robin came right into the right spot for a nice photo. I love it when things work out.

The Inspiration For This Photo

While shooting the MVC Track and Field Championships I had the pleasure of working with Jim Sullivan. Jim is a phenomenal wildlife photographer, and looking through his images inspired me to get out and make some images of my own. You can view some of his work here.
