Drake Brings Their Winning Streak to the Hulman Center
For the second straight day the Human Center saw a MVC leading team visit. I have not seen this Drake team play before, but they were impressive to watch. They played a brand of team ball that seemed to get everyone involved in the game. In fact five players scored in double digits yesterday. It is no wonder that they have won 35 straight league games. The Sycamores played tough in the first half, but could not keep that pace in the second half.
Working Up A Sweat
When I used to play athletics I used to think that I was best when I had played for a while. I had a good sweat going so to speak. That is what this past weekend felt like. I was feeling pretty good by the end of my three games in three days. Part of the reason that I have been thinking about shuttering the whole athletics side of my photography is that I don’t feel that I shoot enough. I love to do this though. Weekends like this will put fuel in the tank for the next couple of weeks when it really starts to get busy. By the end of March I may want a break. Then again that is when baseball season starts to heat up for me so I probably won’t need a break.
It’s The Hair
I am not going to lie. One reason that I love to photograph women’s basketball is the hair. When you see longer hair flowing opposite a player it helps you convey motion. I usually go with the two feet off the ground rule. If both feet are off of the ground then you have a solid photo most of the time. That has conveyed your motion for you. Here you can see the motion by the way the hair is flowing on both players.
The Week In Photos
Last week was a fun week for me. I think I shot more than I have for the last couple of weeks. When I was putting my weekly look back at my photos together I was actually excited to share it. If you want to take a look at my last week in photography you can click here to view my Exposure page.
