Sunset at the Barn

Returning To One Of My Favorite Barns

This barn has been on this blog before. I have made some decent images of it over the years. I just love the simple nature of it along with the American flag proudly flying on it. I have made star trail photos here as well as bleak winter landscape photos. It was nice to finally be here when the light was right to make a colorful photo.

Driving at the Right Time

Sometimes you go out to make good images, and sometimes you happen to be out when the conditions were right. Here I was on the road to Indiana State at just the right time to make this photo. I knew that if I could get to this spot in time I could make this photo. Time was not really on my side, but as you can see in the photo I got there just in time before the sun set. Sometimes leaving a little early for a job can have its advantages. This last year of the blog has many photos on it that were made on the trip to Indiana State.

A New Year

This is scheduled to be the first blog post of 2018. I know that I say this every year, but last year was an amazing year for me. I was able to check some things off of the bucket list photographically, and I already have a couple of cool trips on the books for 2018. I always want to take this time to say thank you for your support over the years. Some people that comment and come to the blog have done so since nearly the beginning. That support means a lot to me. I think the content this year was much better than in years past, and hopefully I can up the ante again in 2018. Until then have a great New Year!

  1. This is beautiful! I know what you mean–increasingly I feel like my favorite photos are of subjects I’ve photographed over and over again, or of scenes wandered through a thousand times before.
