Making Photos While Waiting On The Eagles
Last winter I spent a lot of time down by the Wabash River photographing the bald eagles that frequent the shores. While you are there you have a lot of time on your hands waiting for them to either arrive, or to do something interesting while they are there. Last year I felt that I did a pretty good job of making the most out of that time waiting for the eagles. This was one of the photos that I made that I liked while waiting for my main subject to make an appearance. An unexpected guest during a shoot can be the savior of the shoot somedays. This shot would have made the blog much sooner, but shortly after I made this photo two eagles started a mid air fight for a fish that of course was the photo of the day. You can see that photo here.
Changing It Up A Bit
A the geese were flying over I knew that I needed to do something different. The shot of geese flying wasn’t all that interesting to me. I underexposed the image and really cooled off my white balance to give me something a little different. I don’t think a straight shot of the geese would have made this blog. A little artistic freedom makes the shot so much cooler to me.
