Meeting ‘The Teammates’ Outside of Gate B

I really have strung out my photos from my tour of Fenway Park for a reason. It was a place that I have been waiting to visit for a long time. Something always got in the way of my trips scheduled there. When I was finally able to visit the park I made many pictures during the tour and in my self guided tour around the park. This was one that I wanted to hold out because of the story behind the photo. I will talk more about that below, but these four former Red Sox players had a great friendship. Now they are forever hanging out just outside of Fenway Park.

A Great Read

There are some baseball books that are more than baseball books. They become stories about people going through life. If you have not read the book ‘The Teammates’ by David Halberstam then you need to. It is a book that has its moments about baseball, but it is mostly about four friends at the end of a long friendship. It is one of the best books that I have read in the past few years. It was a great treat to find this likeness of the four friends outside of Fenway Park.
