The Beautiful Campus of Purdue University in Good Light
One great thing about my move back to West Lafayette was being so close to the campus of Purdue again. This really is a beautiful campus that I keep saying I need to photograph more. When I do photograph it I tend to try and get the bell tower or the engineering fountain in my frame. Here I include both of those along with Hovde Hall as well. On a shot like this though why not go for it? The colors play really well together here. I love it when the light is right and the oranges and blues mix. Sometimes that is in the sky, and sometimes that is when you encounter a cool situation like this one.
The Wide, Wide World of Photography
This is one photo that I made a couple of ways. I made one shot fairly tight on the three buildings, and then this one that was a little wider. You can read about the tighter shot here. I will do this on shoots, and usually pick one that I like better to post. Looking back nearly a year though I still like this photo. I thought that it would be another good one to post on this blog. There is a little more blue here than the other shot, but I like the extra wide look. Which one do you prefer?
