Watching Some Purdue Volleyball Legends Return to Belin Court
Last night I made my way to Holloway Gymnasium to see the current Purdue volleyball team take on members from past teams. As I walked into the arena I walked right past the alumni team warming up. I saw so many familiar faces that it took a second to process that these players were now alumni. It was really fun to see some great Boilermakers back on the court. Purdue begins play for real with the Mortar Board Premier next Friday and Saturday. This team has the potential to be really good, and it will be interesting to see how they come together on the court.
Belin Court Looks Fantastic
Belin Court recently had to be replaced because of water damage. The old design was good, but this new design is amazing. I love the oversized Purdue P at center court. I can’t wait to see this court with a packed house around it. There was a pretty good turnout for the alumni game as well. I waited too long to make the photo above, and some of the crowd had already left. In a week Holloway Gymnasium will be packed, and it will be a great time to make a good photo of the court.
Purdue Volleyball Alumni Game Photo Gallery
I was at the game for fun and not really game coverage so I spent some of the game playing around a bit. The new court surface is highly reflective to a tried a few angles that showed that off a bit. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the game.
