Sunset in Ocean Pines, Maryland

Relaxing As The Sun Goes Down

While we were in Ocean City, Maryland this past summer I took advantage of the great view off of our deck most nights. You never know when you will go back to a place so I wanted to capture as much of it as I could. I loved the view off of the dock. You could see right down into the sunset. You also had some nice features that help give depth to the photo. The dock on the left and the A-frame house on the right. Here I liked the way the yellows and blues played off each other just after the sun had gone down. I am also a sucker for a good reflection photo.

Using The Canon 24-105mm L Series Lens

This was the first trip that I was able to use my Canon 24-105mm lens on. It worked out great for a shot like this one. I started off with a wide shot, and then zoomed into this range which was about 40mm. From there I could zoom in again to get just the house and reflection in the shot. I love the versatility of the 24-105 when I am traveling. I had waited a few years to get it, but in the end it was worth it for sure.
