The Jackrabbits Close Out the Season in Style
Thursday night I was back in Kokomo one last time this season to photograph the Kokomo Jackrabbits. This has been an amazing run with them documenting their first season for them. I didn’t know what to expect when I started shooting for them in June. It was just a way to keep shooting baseball for me. From square one I found everyone to be great from the top down in the organization. I wanted to do something different for the final night capturing a different side of the players. I spent my time in the regular photo well, but then I used my team photographer card and went to a few places that I could not normally go to. I spent some time in the dugout with the team as they took in the game. As they were down to their last couple of outs in the eighth needing a run I got caught up in the moment with the team. A win on the night coupled with a Danville loss put the Jackrabbits in the playoffs. This was a big game for both teams, and they fought it out like it was.
Using My GoPro to Capture Something Different
Last night I posted the GoPro video of the celebration following the walk off, but I thought I would include it again here. It was a great moment for the team, and I was glad to be able to provide a little something extra for them. Besides giving them something as a bonus it is a way for me to see where I need to improve. I can see where I made a wrong decision at times that prevented me from being in the perfect spot. You can’t always make the right call, but sometimes you learn something little that will help you in the future.

Here are a few shots from the game that I liked. I was having some fun trying some things out during the game, and I think that it showed. This might be my favorite game that I have photographed for them this season.
