Having Some Fun at TippyCon 2015

Yesterday I had a photoshoot in downtown Lafayette, and I knew that the Lafayette Brawlin’ Dolls would be a couple of doors down reading trivia during the afternoon at TippyCon 2015. I was interested in what it was so I went inside to take a look. For a photographer it really was a target rich environment. I had some fun playing around with some sights that you don’t normally see hanging around. One sight that I particularly liked was this Batman upstairs at the Lafayette Theater waiting for his turn to play in the MarioKart tournament. The great lighting behind him just added to a cool photo. I would love to have a Photo Booth next year at the event just to capture all of the fans who really get into character.

The Lafayette Brawlin’ Dolls at the Lafayette Theater

The last time that I saw the Lafayette Brawlin’ Dolls at the Lafayette Theater was during a wedding reception last summer. This has been a weird spring with no bouts to photograph. I can’t wait until this fall when the Dolls take to the oval again. Today though I popped in to make a few photos of them reading trivia to the fans at the Theater. I really enjoy shooting these girls. They have helped my photography in ways that I could have never imagined. I would not be where I am today if not for them.
