Thinking Warm on the Cold Days
After the last couple of cold days I thought that I should think a little warmer on the blog. The photo above was one of the first pictures that I made with my first wide angle lens. At the time I was a huge fan of Trey Ratcliff (I still am), and he talked about how much different the world looked through a wide angle lens. I went down to the local camera shop and bought a Tamron 10-24mm lens. I took it to a location that I really liked at the time with this lone beautiful tree. It was the perfect time to make this photo. This spot has since disappeared, but I will have more on that later. This was my go to location to test out a new camera or lens. I loved the tree, and on a nice day with some nice clouds you could make a good picture just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city.
Re-visiting Old Photos
This is the second day in a row that I have posted a photo from early in 2012. It was a time when I was making many pictures, and in the middle of my photo 365 project. That was how this blog started, and what jump started my photography. I decided to go back and find some of the photos that might have fallen through the cracks during that time. When I made many images in a day, but only posted one that would be easy to do.
