Running a Blog That Features a Photo a Day
Since October 2011 I have posted at least one photo a day to this blog. That has gotten harder as I have gotten harder on my own work. The first year of this blog’s existence was because of my photo a day project that I was running. I gave myself the goal of making at least one photo a day for a year. To keep myself honest I started this little blog. Some days I would post something that I was very proud of. Other days an iPhone photo would appear on the blog. That photo 365 project was really great for me though. It forced me to get out and shoot, and in the process I saw much more of the new city that I was living in. Lately though I feel that the well is running dry for photos. I am making more pictures than ever, but I don’t think that you want to see sports photos everyday on this blog. As the season kicks up here in a few days I am sure that the sports photos will flow though. Be patient as I hope to post some more landscape photos than I have been.
Finding Something New at Wolf Park
This photo was taken in 2011 at Wolf Park. I have been to the park many times, and every time I try and photograph something different. Sometimes you have to take what is given to you though. This October I may go behind the fence to make some more compelling shots. If I make it back out you will see the photos on this blog. When I saw the remains of a carcass on the ground I knew that I had a shot that I wouldn’t normally be able to make. I think it is in shots like this one that really make the grounds of the park seem a bit more wild than they actually are.
