Photo of the Day
Today I thought that I would share a picture from a trip a bit out of the way that I took while in Maryland. After shooting a sunrise on the beach in Ocean City I hurried up the coast to Fenwick Island, Delaware which is barely over the border. I saw that they had a lighthouse, and I wanted to make a couple of pictures of it while it had a golden light on it. I thought that this would be my only trip into Delaware. Little did I know that US Air would make a long drive through the state a necessity. I liked the idea of shooting this lighthouse because in another angle that I will post later I was actually standing in Maryland taking a picture of this lighthouse in Delaware. Sometimes it is the little things that get me excited.
Technical Data
To get this look I used a faux HDR preset in Lightroom to bring out the range of this picture. I bracketed my shots on the scene, but the range of light that early in the morning was not too much for the camera to overcome. With some locked in presets it makes editing a simple shot like this very easy.
