History in the Making

Sports Photo of the Day

As this year comes to an end I have been reflecting on the images that I have made in the past year. I have also been compiling a list of the ones that I have liked the most. I picked twenty out of the thousands of shots that I have taken and posted them here on my Flickr account. This one made that list. Most of the photos that I picked might not be the most technical shots that I have taken, but rather those that bring back the best memory for me.

This shot was taken as the Purdue baseball team was celebrating their first Big Ten Title since 1909. That was a great day to be a Boilermaker, as well as a great day to be on the field with the team. I love the look on the face of ace pitcher Joe Haase as he looks up at the trophy. You can see what the title means to these kids, and they will forever be remembered at Purdue for their accomplishments.

Technical Data

This was another shot that I used the light sports preset on in Lightroom. It really brought out the detail in my RAW file, and gave me a picture that I am very proud of.
