iPhone Friday: The Definition of Peaceful

iPhone Photo

Today is another day in which I just ignore the fact that this is supposed to be an iPhone photo, and instead show a picture that was taken with my Blackberry Storm. When I was going through some other shots to post in the future I came across this one, and right away I knew that I had to post it. One of my favorite places in the world is the area surrounding Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This is beautiful country that I have never quite captured correctly with my camera. I need to head back someday with the new knowledge that I have to see if I can get the shots that I know are there. This is the kind of beautiful that you just don’t see in Indiana.

This picture means even more to me because my brother was actually married near where that fisherman is casting. This was shot on his in-laws beautiful property, and the day before this was taken he was married right there. That was a great trip, and it may explain a bit more why I love that country so much. As I said this was shot very near there house. Could you imagine having this view at sunset every night? I would need a lot more storage for all my pictures that is for sure.

Technical Data

This really was a shot that could have been better shot with a dSLR and in RAW, but it was not. There really was not much that I could do to it in Lightroom that wouldn’t ruin it. I wish that I could have the sunset a little less blown out, but I can’t. I did increase the highlights a bit as well as underexpose the image a little. I always liked how it was shot though so I did not do much to it.
