Photo of the Day
Last Friday I was in downtown Lafayette having a lot of fun with my camera. I was really fixated on taking pictures of the people in their various Halloween garb that I almost missed a great sunset. The clouds lit up a little, but they did splash their golden light all over Lafayette. I was lucky enough to be in position to capture the moon rise over the Lafayette Courthouse as the light was on it. I was going to swap lenses so that I could get more of the city in view, but this view really was the right one. I am glad that I left my 70-200mm lens on to get this. That lens really served me well that night as I took all kinds of shots with it.
Technical Data
This shot was brought into Lightroom so that I could use the powerful sliders on the RAW file. I adjusted my normal sliders as well as changing the white balance to cloudy. That really brought out the colors that I saw that night. I also added a slight vignette to draw the attention in a bit. This is one shot that I did not think required too much post work on it. I liked it in camera, and I like it a bit more now.
