Day 301: Do You Tweet?

Photo of the Day

Do you Tweet? I have a Twitter account. You can look me up at @csd72. The funny thing is that I rarely use it. For the last few months the only thing that has gone across the social media site from me is the auto post that spams this blog every time a post is published. I really used to read it a lot, but for some reason I got lost on there. For me there are much better ways to network on the internet. Over the last few days I have read about the role Twitter is playing with the Olympics going on, but I still have not opened mine up. I am sure that my followers have left me unless they don’t mind seeing the spam everyday.

The image is actually of the bluebird of happiness that resides in our house. The bird is meant to symbolize happiness, prosperity, and virtually any other attribute that comes with the bluebird. Some days you need the bluebird more than others. Today was one of those days. After the black and white picture that posted this morning I figured this blog could use a little color.

Technical Data

This is another Lightroom only project. I opened up the three files that I took bracketed in Lightroom to see which one that I would like to start with. This was the first picture that I pulled up, and I knew that I wouldn’t need to do much to it. I amped up the blue with a couple of sliders, and upped the clarity a bit as well. That is the extent of my work on this picture. If you can’t tell by the picture I did not have much time today to take pictures so I had to work quickly when I did.

  1. I twitter, but am sporadic. Some weeks I’m participating, other times it’s also my auto post. I find it easier to create lists, that way I can just read per group. For instance I have a photographers list, a local peeps list for people in Nebraska/Omaha, and a Marine list to name a few. My twitter is @3Quarters2Day if you care to follow.
