I drive by this house all the time. From the first time that I saw it it reminded me of another house that is located in Washington D.C. I have tried to get a good picture of it before, but the road that it is on is a high traffic road. I don’t always have the time that I need to shoot. On a day like today when no cars came behind me I still felt rushed. I like the fact that most of the scene was white so I decided that today was the day to get the shot. I have a couple other ideas for this house, and I am sure that it will end up on this blog again. With this being a Presidential election year you can count on it.
By the way the white stuff in the air and on the ground is called snow. It is something that is usually around here a lot in the winter, but this year has stayed away for the most part.
With its lack of landscaping and bare, stark appearance the day you picked to shoot – a whitish grey kind of day – seems a perfect fit. The more I look at this shot the more I like it.
It really is just a house with nothing around it. I think that is why it has been so hard to shoot the way that I would like to. Thanks for the comments!
