Today I drove out to the windmills after work. I was not sure what I would see, but the sky was pretty awesome. With snow moving in at the time there was a great mix of clouds with a weird sky color. I really raced to the windmills in order to get all of that into the shot. It was not as impressive as it was earlier, but the sky still looked great. As I set up to take this picture I noticed that it started to snow. On the way home I was not sure that I had captured a good image. I had another shot taken from a few feet down the road that featured the barn in the lower right corner with a lineup of windmills going down the left side. In the end I liked this picture a little better. I thought that it was fitting that as I started to drive away I heard the Scorpions song ‘Winds of Change.’ Right then I knew that I had the title for the post.
Great image. I love those wind turbines, they are so majestic and I am always in awe of their size when I get to them. Love the barn next to them, or a midst them.
Nice. Have you tried to convert it in B/W ? I may give a very mysterious look.
That might really look great. I don’t do much black and white, but maybe I should start.
I love b/w. Even I don’t do every photo in b/w but it look great in some of them. Don’t be afraid of b/w. you will love it once you start figuring out when to use it.
